Pheochromocytoma preoperative blockade
- 1st give → α-blocker (Phenoxybenzamine [α1& α2]), then IVF, then β-blocker [if reflex tachy]).
- Doxazosin: α2 only (Ø reflex tachy), long acting.
- Phentolamine: short acting.
