Obturator Hernia

• A preperitoneal or intraperitoneal approach is best (either laparoscopic or open).
• Reduction of hernia contents and sac.
• The obturator foramen can be opened posterior to the nerve and vessels.
• Repair with placement of a pre-peritoneal mesh.
