Melanoma Excision
- W/U → head-to-toe exam + LNs, & LDH.
- WLE Margins
- Melanoma in situ 0.5-1 cm
- < 1mm depth 1 cm
- 1.1-2mm depth 1-2 cm
- >2mm depth 2 cm
- Excision includes skin & subQ down to, but NOT including, fascia.
- 1° ant to tragus → 20% parotid mets → superficial parotidectomy.
- Small bowel mets common → resect if able.
- If SBO w/asso mass in pt w/hx of melanoma → ex lap (NOT serial exams).
